Two b & b guests, Rachel from New York and Bertrand from France visited the haunted cellar and we had a great time sharing with them.Nancyehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02968282568972327268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2994648446739807450.post-22586221468772879132010-08-25T10:17:00.001-04:002010-08-25T10:18:19.656-04:00My friend's b&b in my hometownBeautiful, amazing place, beautiful amazing people!!

http://somedayfarmveganbedandbreakfast.com/Nancyehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02968282568972327268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2994648446739807450.post-71989582583006133292010-08-25T09:56:00.000-04:002010-08-25T09:59:08.814-04:00Mehdi's picturesMehdi and Caroline from Montreal stayed with us this summer and Mehdi took some great photos during their trip. The really bad heat wave is over for the moment and it's so nice to have a little break. We currently have guests from Montreal, who have been exploring flea markets and enjoying the Outpost Lounge http://www.outpostlounge.com/
They also mentioned planning to see Sonic Youth in Prospect Park this weekend!
We tried a really great Italian Restaurant not far from here called Saraghina. Their pizza and atmosphere were amazing! 435 Halsey at Lewis, check it out. Our guest from Australia told me about it months ago so we finally tried it. Thanks, Jan!
We went to a summer camp upstate which we highly recommend; http://www.cotef.org. We learned primitive skills and had a lot of fun.
Ahh, summer in the city.
NancyeNancyehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02968282568972327268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2994648446739807450.post-3933320526731686242010-06-02T16:06:00.001-04:002010-06-02T16:06:42.971-04:00It's our 10 year wedding anniversary tomorrow so we're heading to Fire Island to celebrate.Nancyehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02968282568972327268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2994648446739807450.post-60549811358719996552010-05-22T18:42:00.001-04:002010-05-22T18:42:26.716-04:00Our band is playing in Nyack tonight!Nancyehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02968282568972327268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2994648446739807450.post-80403398001776213202010-05-14T18:06:00.001-04:002010-05-14T18:06:18.713-04:00I'm in Prospect Park watching our son's little league baseball team practice. Guests are all checked in, from Montreal and Iowa, guests from San Francisco left this morning. It sounded kind of familiar but I figured it was a stray (of which there are several) but finally got up to see and it was our large gray cat, Smokey, who is quite friendly with our guests. Somehow she got outside and the poor thing was terrified. She was very relieved to be back inside and has been purring all day.
NancyeNancyehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02968282568972327268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2994648446739807450.post-15126917195454290972010-03-02T17:51:00.003-05:002010-03-02T19:45:49.464-05:00Local shops make the NY "Times"I heard about this great article and slide show from the NY Times last week.

They featured several of our favorite shops all right around us- the cafe Bushbaby, Abu's Bakery, Israel's Record Shop, Heavenly Crumbs, Collecther boutique, Al's Mens Shop and Star Perfumes.

We can set you up right here in the neighborhood!

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/28/nyregion/28stop.html

http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2010/02/28/nyregion/0228STOP_index.html

Paul
http://www.spencerplacebedandbreakfast.comPaulhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17176748405750559988noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2994648446739807450.post-28755162539591768732009-12-13T21:26:00.002-05:002009-12-13T21:38:22.153-05:00Missing BrooklynI've been in LA for tv work for several weeks and it's been interesting to get acquainted with this place. I really like LA, especially the people. I don't love the traffic and it really makes me appreciate our car free lifestyle in Brooklyn. Weather has been pretty fabulous here and I love the lush plants. Can't wait to see my family!!
NancyeNancyehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02968282568972327268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2994648446739807450.post-4356346820324425402009-11-04T20:15:00.005-05:002009-11-08T08:53:48.791-05:00Our Guest Annie<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTUaAdgqjQr-QXr_umLQeS2r6N1wEgTbcXtj2UguV-GA2dT3WL5Ju31Q4-zoED72SdPbAwSyrIbqqJmZKjH97TbPcIMiWFM1bdu76gxTttbg0i9DdO-lLagxRuzw32mWimGCjDcDFa_GY9/s200/annie.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5400427152914073842" />
We had an interesting guest stay with us last week. At least we pay for it but I'm not sure how to actually determine if the power we receive and use is from some wind farm somewhere or not.
